What should I sell door-to-door?
This mostly depends on your circumstances and what the time commitment you are going to make to the job? If this is just a summer time job, Pest Control, Home Security Systems, and Solar are great options. What to expect when selling?
You will have good days and you will have bad days. You will knock in all climates, from pants and jacket weather to sweating because it's 100 degrees. Most the doors you knock either won't answer or aren't interested. You will overcome common objections and highlight the values gained from your service/product. In short, it can be tough but it's worth it!
How much can I make selling door-to-door?
This is probably the most asked question. Check out our YouTube Channel to find interviews with individuals who have sold for various D2D companies and how much they made. However, let's assume you are wanting to sell pest control over the summer (May - August). If you sell an average of 2 accounts a day and you sell 25 days of the month that's 50 accounts per month. Multiply that by 4 and you have just sold 200 accounts. At a 25% payout and an average contract value of $500 that means for each sale you make $500 x .25 = $125. Multiply this number by 200 (200 x $125) and you have your summer total of $25,000! This number is completely doable and realisitc for any salesman.
